English owners, Jerry and Claire Hollis offer friendly and comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in a wonderfully relaxing scenic region of Southern Germany. The guest house is ideally placed for a few days of rest and relaxation en-route between the historic cities of Bavaria and the Czech Republic. Alternatively enjoy a longer holiday, and take the opportunity to explore the scenery, culture and heritage of the Bavaria/Bohemia border region.

  • Bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, LED flat-screen TV with integrated DVD player, radio alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, liquid soap & shower gel, duvets, bed linen, towels and local information file.

  • FREE parking for about 10 cars on site and unrestricted parking on street in front of the guesthouse.
  • FREE Skibus and local public transport.
  • Buffet breakfast included in price: - typically German in style, with a choice of breads and fresh rolls, butter, honey and homemade jams, marmite, cooked meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices, teas, coffee (incl. decaffeinated tea & coffee) and hot chocolate. 
  • Guest lounge with wood burning fire, leather sofas, wonderful views of the village and the forest beyond.
  • Small library area of English & German magazines, guide books and maps, DVDs, games, toys, puzzles.
  • High-chairs, baby bath and change mat are available on request.
  • Folding cots for babies available on request (at additional charge).
  • Children’s play area in the garden.
  • German and English spoken. 
  • Small selection of snacks: sausages with bread rolls & mustard, homemade soups and cakes, hot drinks, beers, wines and soft drinks (at additional cost).
  • Packed lunches: can be booked from reception by 7pm on the night before they are required (at additional cost).
  • Half board:  3 courses for just 19.50 Euro per person, per meal, at Pöschl restaurant, five minutes walk from Guesthouse.
  • Whenever possible we use local, organic, fairtrade and or homemade products for our breakfast, packed lunches, room trays, and snacks.
  • Garden seating, tables and parasols.
  • Laundry service for a small charge. Free use of ironing board and iron.
  • Emergency toiletries are available to buy.
  • Secure Storeroom for bikes and ski equipment available.
  • Bike hire, (helmets and a buggy are also available (additional cost).
  • Free use of snow sliders, wooden tobboggan, tennis rackets and football.
  • Short orientation tour of the village is available on request.
  • Sorry, no smoking and no animals. Please note: we have a dog!
  • Changeover day: flexible.
  • Minimum stay: 1 Night, except during christmas and New year holidays, 5 nights and during February & Easter, 2 Nights.
  • Arrival time: between 4pm and 7pm (if outside these times please let us know, so that we can ensure someone is available to meet you).
  • Departure time: by 10am 
  • Please adhere to the arrival and departure times so that we have enough time to clean rooms thoroughly between bookings.
  • Please note, almost all restaurants are open over the Christmas period, although they all shut by 8pm on Christmas eve.
